This project aims to raise awareness about toxic relationships that people may unknowingly find themselves in, especially among younger generations who are often influenced by idealized fairy-tale love stories. Many young adults aged 18-24, predominantly girls, may not realize they are facing harmful situations until much later, which can negatively impact their mental health.
Themed around fantasy and magic, this project takes the form of a sarcastic zine containing six 'magic spells' that symbolize different types of toxic relationships. Each spell reveals a 'monster' created by the witch, which readers can view by scanning a QR code. Alongside the zine, there will be a supporting website, installations, and a bundled package.
